We have been present in the global events industry for nearly 40 years, providing creative design, state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and comprehensive project management services.

The beginning
Production of special effects for feature films and TV productions

1990

The first in-house hotel contract with Hilton Budapest.

2000

Turning into a full-scale event production company

2004

Acquisition of CRN Hungary Ltd., the market leader in simultaneous interpretation and conference system rental

2005

Contracted AV service provider of Four Seasons and Hungexpo, the most luxurious hotel and the largest event venue in Budapest

2007

25th anniversary
Expansion to the European market

2010

Launching IDF (Installation, Design & Furniture) as an independent brand

Contracted AV service provider of Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest

2011

CRN Hungary and Special Effects are the official AV service providers of the Hungarian EU Presidency

2012

30th anniversary
Becoming a member of AV Alliance, the global network of the best event production and AV companies

2013

Launching Special Effects Media (SEM), the premium YouTube video network

2014

Winner of the AV Alliance Best Sales Performance Award

2017

35th Anniversary
Launching exhibition and installation services globally

2018

Acquiring ownership in the Dubai-based agency, Kraftwerk Design and Production

2019

Acquiring Mobil Audio and Light and establishing the Touring and Live Entertainment division

Peter Muller, Special Effects’ owner and Director of Possibilities is elected as Chairman of AV Alliance

2020

Co-initiating the #PowerOfLiveEvents campaign, the biggest collaboration of the local MICE sector that has received several prestigious awards
